This is FaithStation! (Sunday, February 18)

Sunday's second session of The 24/7 Experience found us observing the student travelers in Philadelphia meeting with Shane Claiborne and The Simple Way. The key word was "love." Shane challenged the students with ideas like, "The kingdom of heaven is not just what happens when we die, it's a way of life right now," and "You are literally the hands and feet of Jesus alive in the world." Our challenge as a group was to write the 'hands and feet' phrase down on paper and display it in a prominent place in order to help us learn how living with that truth changes the way we see the world. How about it? How is the truth of being the hands and feet of Jesus changing the way you see the world? And what are you doing about that? Comment on this by Sunday, March 4, for a chance to win a "Jesus Was Homeless" T-shirt.
To read more information about this subject, check out Shane's book, The Irresistible Revolution: Living as an Ordinary Radical. There's a great story about the T-shirt in the book!

Being the hands and feet has made me look upon the world like Jesus would, meaning i would be accepting of everyone and love regardless. This is something im trying to do, go out and find the people that need Jesus.

I agree with Mike that being the hands of Jesus being that you would reach out and touch everyone around you. Can't reach them, that's why you're also the feet. You walk to people and talk to them no matter how far from god they may be. It is your job to journey and touch. I try to live by this by talking to many people about Jesus's love. Atheists, Agnostics, etc... That's how we should live.
