Sunday's second session of
The 24/7 Experience found us observing the student travelers in Philadelphia meeting with Shane Claiborne and
The Simple Way. The key word was "love." Shane challenged the students with ideas like, "The kingdom of heaven is not just what happens when we die, it's a way of life right now," and "You are literally the hands and feet of Jesus alive in the world." Our challenge as a group was to write the 'hands and feet' phrase down on paper and display it in a prominent place in order to help us learn how living with that truth changes the way we see the world.
How about it? How is the truth of being the hands and feet of Jesus changing the way you see the world? And what are you doing about that? Comment on this by Sunday, March 4, for a chance to win a "Jesus Was Homeless" T-shirt.
To read more information about this subject, check out Shane's book,
The Irresistible Revolution: Living as an Ordinary Radical. There's a great story about the T-shirt in the book!
